GSA’s BMO Solution Promotes Sustainability

GSA’s Building Maintenance and Operations (BMO) strategic sourcing solution is a comprehensive and flexible solution covering all high-demand BMO services. It is an open-market, multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) governmentwide contract vehicle that supports the strategic sourcing initiative to reduce costs and drive efficient purchasing by federal agencies. 

The BMO contract includes the use of sustainable products in conjunction with the services provided. These products meet the applicable environmental standards and help agencies ensure acquisitions are environmentally sustainable.

GSA’s BMO offers both the Unrestricted solution (for large or small businesses) and the Small Business (SB) solution, divided into Phases I and II and divided further into individual geographic zones. This approach has promoted the inclusion of small businesses by allowing companies to offer in one or more delivery zones. The SB offerings in both Phases I and II have been successful and have seen 94% of total task-order awards (base plus options), compared to Unrestricted awards.
