GSA Multiple Award Schedules Satisfy Mission Requirements!
Through our Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) program, we provide customers with access to the solutions needed to complete their missions. GSA Schedules – a.k.a. Federal Supply Schedules (FSS) – are fast, easy, effective contracting vehicles for customers and vendors. GSA establishes long-term governmentwide contracts with commercial companies to provide access to millions of commercial products and services at volume-discount pricing. This allows customers to contract with pre-approved vendors and benefit from pre-negotiated fair and reasonable pricing. Customers can also meet small-business goals using Schedules.

Customers who order from GSA Schedules get:
  • Savings
  • Flexibility and choices
  • Shorter lead times
  • Transparency
  • Control of the procurements
  • Lower administrative costs
  • Reduced inventories
  • Compliance with environmental and socioeconomic regulations
You can order products and services from Schedule contractors or through the GSAAdvantage!® online shopping and ordering system.

View our comprehensive “GSA Schedules Benefits” Web page. You can also learn more at www.gsa.gov/schedules.

We’re Helping Standardize U.S. Navy Shipboard Cleaners!
Along with the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), GSA is participating in the implementation of a new strategy to standardize cleaning products aboard surface ships throughout the fleet.

To remedy challenges of managing a large number of diverse cleaning products and hazardous materials aboard surface ships, NAVSEA developed 22 Commercial Item Descriptions (CIDs) in conjunction with NAVSUP and GSA. The CIDs standardize the salient characteristics of cleaning products such as chemical and physical properties, as well as environmental attributes within a specific category of cleaners. NAVSEA will determine the salient characteristics of the cleaners, and GSA will create National Stock Numbers (NSNs), as needed, and serve as the manager for these commodities. GSA will issue solicitations, review products, and select sources. Currently, GSA is providing 36 NSNs in support of 15 CIDs from the initial evaluation of products (group 1). At least two additional groups of products will be evaluated for the remaining CIDs.

This is an excellent opportunity for GSA to collaborate with our Navy customers on an important project supporting our sailors and marines aboard ships.
