GSA Vehicle Purchasing Offers Savings and Selection
To meet all of your automotive needs, GSA’s Vehicle Purchasing provides an array of deeply discounted vehicle solutions. When using AutoChoice, you’re ensured direct and easy access to a full spectrum of vehicle solutions.

GSA is a mandatory source, under FPMR 101-26.501, for purchases of new non-tactical vehicles for DOD and federal executive agencies. Other eligible users may also purchase vehicles from GSA. For more information, visit the GSA Vehicle Purchasing Overview page.

Express Desk Helps Agencies Get Urgently Needed Vehicles Faster
Did you know GSA offers government agencies an express option for vehicle purchases? The Express Desk processes orders for vehicles needed on an “Unusual and Compelling Urgency” basis [in accordance with FAR 6.302-2(c)]. Agencies must justify the reason for using the Express Desk instead of waiting for the normal procurement cycle and delivery time. Generally, prices will be higher than the established contract prices because the vehicles are purchased from a dealership, not directly from manufacturers. Express Desk orders can be placed using AutoChoice. Please call the CARS line at (703) 605-CARS(2277) for guidance.

GSA Offers ATVs and Utility Vehicles
Easily satisfy your off-road and utility-vehicle needs with GSA Multiple Award Schedule 78 - SPORTS (Promotional, Outdoor, Recreation, Trophies and Signs). GSA’s MAS program offers fast, easy, effective access to commercial products and services at volume-discount pricing. You can take advantage of quantity discounts; save administrative time; reduce paperwork; and obtain pricing from small, small disadvantaged, and veteran-owned businesses.

GSA MAS 78 offers two Special Item Numbers (SINs) for off-road and utility vehicle needs:
  • SIN 251 1 offers federal agencies wheel and track vehicles and includes ATVs, utility vehicles (excluding licensable over-the-road vehicles), snowmobiles, bicycles, tricycles, and accessories
  • SIN 251 6 offers federal agencies utility vehicles that are unlicensed, off-road automotive design.
To learn more about these SINS, contact Kristine Stein at kristine.stein@gsa.gov or (215) 446-4897.

Safety is a priority when operating an ATV. More than 700 deaths and 100,000 injuries involving ATVs occur each year, according to Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) most recent data. By following these CPSC key safety tips, hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries related to ATVs could be prevented:
  • Stay off paved roads
  • Never let children younger than 16 get on adult ATVs
  • Don’t allow more people on the vehicle than it was designed to carry
  • A single-rider ATV should have only one person on it: the driver
  • Always wear a helmet and other protective gear
  • Get hands-on training
To learn more, see the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s Quick Facts for a Safer Ride.

Commercial Helicopters are Available through GSA
In an effort to upgrade their aging equipment, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety and the Hillsborough County Florida Sheriff’s Office recently requested GSA to expedite the award of a pending Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) offering for Helicopters.

In support of this emerging customer need, GSA worked to expedite a solution, and helicopters are now available under MAS 84 Total Solutions for Law Enforcement, SIN number 567-99. Three distinct helicopter configurations are now available – one for law enforcement, for firefighting, and for search and rescue.

GSA continues to offer helicopters for lease and purchase. Simply visit GSA eLibrary for more information on this and any other MAS solutions. To learn more about this helicopter contract, please contact:
